GOD With Us

Updated: Nov 29, 2022

What if you had a Christmas with no presents, not gifts, and no eggnog?

Ok...maybe we can skip the eggnog ...lol.

But seriously, what if you were a soldier deployed, and you had a Christmas, this year, without gifts, without presents, without family, and even without a Christmas tree?

Would it still be Christmas?

I say affirmatively YES!

While it seems that what makes Christmas...Christmas are the presents, the tree and even family. You can in fact, still have an AMAZING Christmas without all these things, because what makes Christmas so Amazing is GOD WITH US...EMMANUEL!

In John 1:14, which we will study at our Christmas Service, this Friday, Dec 22nd, 7pm @ The LIVING ROOM (just a little plug lol) the Bible states "And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us." Now that word dwelt in the Greek, literally means TABERNACLED!

You see in Exodus 40, when the Israelites where voyaging through the wilderness for 40 years, GOD instructed Moses on the first day, of the first month, to set up a Tabernacle where they could worship GOD. This Tabernacle also contained the Ark of the Covenant.

On that day, the Glory of GOD, came and rested on the Tabernacle, in powerful way, via a cloud of glory.

Man, I wish I could have seen this!

Scripture states in Exodus 40:34-35, that the presence of GOD was so strong, that Moses couldn't even enter the Tabernacle!

Wow! I wish could have experienced that!

But, in fact, we do!

Every time we worship GOD, we experience, this cloud of glory, and even more, in very a special way, during the Christmas Season!

Because on that Christmas Day, GOD Tabernacle with humanity! On that special day, the Glory of GOD, came once again, but this time, in a human form!

God came and "tabernacled = pitched HIS tent among us, in flesh!'

During the Christmas Season, our hearts, deep down inside, feel the anticipation of this!

That's what makes Christmas...Christmas!

Now that's GREAT NEWS!

With or without presents, family, or a tree.

GOD WITH US!

Let's Celebrate Christmas!
