Believe

Here's a Summary of What We Believe; “As adopted by the National Association of Evangelicals.”

We hold to The Historic Christian Confession of The Nicene Creed (325 AD).

Statement of Faith

The Scriptures

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God, 2 Tim 3:16-17.

2

God- Trinity

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, John 1:1; Matt 28:19.

3

Jesus

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory, John 1:1; John 1:14; John 1:18.

4

Salvation

We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential, John 3:1-21

5

Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is God; He proceeds from The Father and The Son; He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and works in and through the church, gifting us to accomplish God’s purposes, John 14-16

6

Spiritual Gifts

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life, 1 Cor 12:1-11

7

Last Things

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation, 1 Th 4:13-18; Acts 1:11; Zec 14:4-5; 2 Pet 10:13-18; Rev 21

8

Spiritual Unity

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, Gal 3:28

9

The Great Commission is a Christian's Purpose

18 And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matt 28:18-20

10

The Great Commandment is "How" We Live

34 But when the Pharisees heard that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered themselves together. 35 One of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, 36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” 37 And He said to him, “ ‘YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.’ 38 This is the great and foremost commandment. 39 The second is like it, ‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.’ 40 On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.” Matt 22: 34-40
